A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a reliable support worker to join Care Advocates, a specialist, independent social care organization who provide supported living placements for adults with Mental health needs and learning difficulties. We want to hear from nurturing and supportive individuals with a genuine interest in helping others.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a residential setting supporting adults, providing day to day support, guidance and advice, days out, prompting with medications, whilst building independence and independent skills. We are a residential placement so ability to work sleep ins and weekend shifts are required.

Essential Job Requirements

• Ability to work as part of a team to provide a high level of support for service users
• Previous experience working with adults with Mental Health needs (Preferably within a residential setting)
• Flexible and able to work shift patterns including sleep ins and weekends
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for our service users.
• Ensure record keeping and administrative duties are met including care plans and all relevant paperwork is updated.
• Commitment to empowering our service users and helping them achieve outcomes

Desirable Attributes

• Relevant Social Care Qualifications
• Full UK driving licence
• Knowledge of current legislation and Mental Health Acts
• Understanding of Positive behaviour support
